Let’s see what’s inside for the month of May.

Ipsy sends out quite a few variations of their bag, which I think is great, as it really keeps the surprise factor intact! These are the items I received in my glam bag.

The packaging varies in terms of glam bags and while I loved last month’s glam bag itself, I am not in love with this “ice-cream” theme plastic baggie. But I guess it is apt for summer.

On to the items!

treStique Lip Crayon(mini)  (full size retails for $28.00)

Loved the cute packaging of this lip crayon. At first I assumed it had no cover, haha.

This was super creamy and light-weight and applied like a dream. And despite being so creamy, it is pretty matte as well. In terms of shade, I am really not into reds, and I wish I had received another color, but I wouldn’t mind using it, only because it really is super creamy.

Luxie 660 Precision Foundation Face Brush – (full size) $23.00

This foundation brush is super soft and the round shape will be perfect for applying liquid foundations — thereby giving a smoother and flawless coverage.

I am more of a cream foundation gal, however I do like to switch to liquid foundations during the summer months, and wouldn’t mind trying this face brush. The fact that Luxie products are cruelty-free deserves extra brownie points!

Urban Decay After Glow 8-Hour Powder Highlighter in Sin (sample size) –  Full size retails for $26.00

I also got a sample of the coveted Urban Decay Afterglow highlighter in the color “Sin”. This is a long-wearing, blendable powder highlight for strobing.

It also is highly pigmented so you only need to apply with a light hand. This is surely going to make my highlighter game on point! 😉 Can’t wait to use it and hopefully purchase the full size.

K Voss Macaroon Lip Balm (full size) $12.99

I haven’t heard much about this brand — however, I must say that the lip balm is pretty darn moisturizing. It was also not sticky and actually very hydrating. Totally going to use this up!

Briogeo Rosarco Milk Reparative leave-in conditioning spray (deluxe size) 0.75 oz/22 mL – (full size retails for $20.00)

An ultra-light leave in conditioning spray that is meant to bring out hydration and moisture to hair without weight them down. I have super dry hair, and I have been searching for a solution for a while — glad to have come across this and I do see some great reviews on Sephora as well. I will definitely be trying this one!

Verdict

I was not a huge fan of this month’s Ipsy glam bag. However, my top 2 products from this bag would be the Leave-in conditioning spray and the Macaroon lip balm! The total cost comes up to around $36 which is still a great considering the monthly value of the bag. Hoping next month is a bit more fun and exciting!
