The product selection at What is Next is pretty vast and range from well-established brands such as Missha, Skinfood, TheFaceShop, TonyMoly, Laniege, and Shisedo to name a few! Welcos Aloe Vera Moisture Real Soothing Gel 98% – $5.99
We all know how amazing aloe vera is and its countless benefits so I was delighted to find this soothing gel in my kit. I have been pretty lazy about my skincare lately and this is always the case with me during summer months. I am way more careful during winters since I have such dry, parched skin that I go all crazy trying to moisturize it. But I digress. Back to this great product – the smell was so good, just like you’d expect aloe vera to smell like. The consistency is watery or gel-like as the name suggests but it gets absorbed pretty fast into the skin. Also, the coolness of the gel felt very refreshing on the face – great for restoring and hydrating the skin. Absolutely loved it!
Etude House Honey Cera Emulsion & Toner – $5.00?
I actually really enjoyed using this emulsion and toner combo. The toner moistens rough and dry skin without leaving behind any stickiness. While the emulsion felt very nourishing and provided intense hydration to the skin. I believe the key ingredient is honey which we all know has so many benefits for the skin and really is the powerhouse of nourishment.
Etude House AC Clean Up Pink Powder Mask – $3.00?
The pink powder name comes from the presence of calamine in it which is meant to control excessive oil. However, it is a wash off mask that is meant to cleanse the skin and control water and oil balance of the face. The consistency was like any other mask – creamy at first and then dries down to a clay-like texture. Thankfully, I am past the acne-ridden phase of my life so I can’t comment on the effectiveness of the mask in terms of reducing acne related redness, but I felt it was just like any other face mask and nothing that wow-ed me.
TonyMoly I’m Real Pomegranate Mask Sheet Elasticity – $3.75
A sheet mask formulated with pomegranate extract and an enriched water-based essence that provides hydration while promoting skin elasticity. So I definitely feel this has anti-aging benefits, and as a 31 year old, I am all about anti-aging products these days. It felt luxurious as I applied it over my face and the results were phenomenal. I ended up with an intensely hydrated skin with a brighter and smoother complexion. Can’t wait to pick up more of this.
Overall, I was pretty impressed with W.I.N. Beauty kit and felt that I received an array of K-beauty products at an affordable cost. According to my rough estimate, the total comes around $15, which is on par with the monthly cost of the bag. However, if you love Asian beauty and skincare products and don’t know where to get started, What is Next would be the perfect introduction since it specifically selects effective and popular products and bring them directly to your doorstep.
