What is included
Fun 2 to 3 crafts activities featuring around a particular theme for that month.
This month’s theme centered around cityscapes!
Our beloved Imagine magazine that introduces the theme of the month with a cute little story through the main characters (Koala, Alligator, and Parrot).
Colorful pages with so many fun activities within.
Instructions manual for the grown-up helper! All 3 activities with their detailed instructions can be seen below. Love how thorough the instructions are with colorful images.
Activity #1: City Building Blocks
This was such a fun activity for us, loads of stickers needed to be applied to the set of wooden blocks on each side. So 9 blocks with 6 sides on each block. That’s a whopping 54 stickers. Hours of fun for my 3 and 1.5 years old girls. 🙂
A relatively simple activity, but very hands-on and great for developing gross motor skills and we loved what we could do with the blocks after! Endless possibilities to make a city tower or sort through colors and shapes. These wooden blocks also seem to be made of great quality so I am hoping these will last a long time.
Here we are sorting the blocks into different colors and making our little towers and/or “cities” as the theme suggested. 🙂
Activity # 2: Stencil Drawstring Bag
Another fun activity that required us to apply the stencil stickers on the drawstring bag and paint with the provided blue glitter.
My 3 year old single-handedly did this project herself, so I am very proud of her! One of the things about Koala Crate activities is that it makes preschoolers think outside the box and just lets them be creative.
Painting our stenciled drawstring bag.
Loved the final look of the bag! We used the same technique and painted the other side too. 🙂 The blocks were then diligently put into the bag for safe storage. Hoping we won’t be losing any pieces this way.
Activity # 3: Skyline Paintings
Final project required us to make paintings with the provided stencil stickers. The perfect way to display your little one’s art around the house. 🙂
You receive 3 high-quality painting sheets so you can always paint multiple times.
The gorgeous skyline painting all ready to be displayed on the refrigerator. 🙂
Verdict
Once again, Koala Crate managed to send a fun-filled box with hours of creative, STEM-based play! The quality of materials included is always top-notch and the instructions are clear and precise. Also, the activities included are just perfect for a typical 3-4-year-old making it one of the best monthly subscriptions geared towards preschoolers. If you want to intellectually stimulate your little ones this summer while letting them have all the fun, go sign up for Koala Crate and get 1 month free with a 3 months subscription. 🙂
