What’s inside

This month’s theme was all about Art of Love. Items included:

  • Spotify playlist
  • Dinner recipe suggestion
  • Dual canvas painting virtual private lesson
  • Delicious kettle artisan popcorn

All our painting items x 2.

You also receive an information card detailing the activity for your night-in! The instructions were pretty clear and easy to understand. This month, Date Night In teamed with to help create a dual canvas masterpiece.

Okay, I’ll be honest, I was a little intimidated in the beginning as I am not super artsy, neither is my husband, but hey it’s a date night right? We are supposed to just have fun and relax (sans kids, in our case, we had to wait till they went to bed ;)).

Delicious Kettle Corn popcorn to enjoy while we paint.

Like the instructions suggested, we went to the URL provided by to start off our painting. I just found it easier to connect both the canvases together rather than keeping them separate.

Painting in progress. The paint brushes were all made of high quality. I do wish the paint containers were a little bit bigger as we almost ran out of some colors (despite having 2 of each).

Our final painting looked like this and to be honest as a total novice, I thought it was not too shabby at all! 😉

I have to say that I was pretty impressed with this innovative Date Night in box concept. Both my husband and I had a ball of a time painting and just spending quality time together. You do not have to be a pro to do a certain activity, the idea is to have fun and enjoy doing something relaxing with your loved one/spouse. I also must admit that I found the instructions by to be very thorough as the video made it so much easier to follow through even for complete novices. At the end, it was an extremely fun and relaxing evening and truly felt like a date night. It is perfect for parents who need a break from the everyday chaotic and busy lives without breaking the bank! 😉
