What’s inside
Fun 2 to 3 crafts activities featuring around a particular theme for that month.
This month’s theme was all about camping! Totally apt for the summer months.
Our handy dandy instruction card detailing all 3 crafts for the month!
We’ll be creating a “make-believe” campfire, a camping cookout and make a bear backpack. So fun!
Monthly magazine for the kids ages 3-4. As always very colorful and the story is super fun to read.
Some more activities in the magazine (perfect for car rides, airplane travels etc). I actually save them up and we like to work on them on-the-go!
Activity # 1: Campfire
All the material needed to build our campfire. I love how all these materials are made out of felt fabric and are absolutely safe for the tiny hands.
We used the colored tissue to build our “fire”.
The tea light (comes with a battery) gave the perfect illusion of a “real” campfire.
Activity # 2: Camping Cookout
This activity was more about pretend play and allowed the kids to use their imagination and be creative while having a “cookout” on a camping trip!
Yep, we are totally pretending to roast our smores and hotdogs! Yummy. 🙂
Activity # 3: Bear Backpack
This one was definitely more “hands-on” compared to the other two crafts as it required us to make a bear backpack with all the materials provided.
The felt stickers were super easy to use and it was actually 100% doable by a 3-year-old without any adult’s help. So I really liked the whole “independence” factor with this activity.
The backpack of course immediately needed to be used! And my daughter was super proud of her “creation”. This was also one of her favorite activities from the box this month!
Verdict
Another fun month by Koala Crate this month! We have yet to be disappointed by this preschoolers subscription. However, I do find that the activities are relatively quicker and are more perfect for a rainy day. However, this box certainly inspires young minds to imagine and create things on their own, and that in itself is why I always recommend Koala Crate for preschoolers. Don’t miss out, and get 30% off your first month!
