Loved the color combination of this glam bag and thought it was very “fall-like”.
Ipsy sends out quite a few variations of their bag, which I think is great, as it really keeps the surprise factor intact! These are the items I received in my glam bag.
An information card was also included detailing the theme of the month – which was all about empowering stories from real ipsters.
Now onto the items.
MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Base Lumiere (6 mL) – $5.04
Always wanted to try this out, but could never get into MAC as hyped as it was a couple years back! But glad to try it out through ipsy!
This one has got a yellow tinge to it to create a flawless canvas to work on before applying your foundation. I thought it was pretty hydrating and did blur out certain imperfections!
Codage Paris Creme Gommante Scrubbing Cream (15 mL) – $13.49
A new brand for me, however, I am all about skincare products and love trying out new ones out there. While it does say that it is suitable for all skin types – I found the scrubbing bits to be a bit on the “harsher/grittier” side and I have no sensitive skin! Nonetheless, I did like how it made my skin feel after, so I will continue to use it.
tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Fiesty (1.5 g) – $7.77
Huge fan of tarte blushes as they really seem to last a long time!
The shade feisty shows up barely on the camera but suffice it to know that it is totally buildable. And it is just the perfect peachy nude shade. Loved this one!
Jonteblu Lip Liner Pencil in 955 Spice (1.2g) – $8.00
This was such a fabulous lip liner and I was blown away by how pigmented it was! I always seem to struggle with the tugging that happens with lip liners, this was creamy yet pigmented.
And this shade 955 spice is perfect to line over or under any nude lipstick.
treStique Mini Brow Pencil in Espresso (0.13g) – $10.00
Always looking to try out brow pencils, since I really don’t do much to my eyebrows. Hence, the only way I can make them look presentable is by using brow pencils ha. 😉
Looks pigmented enough but I really had to go over it a couple times. So, It was a bit painful to use over the eyebrows and go over multiple spots the same time to get some color payoff! Sadly, I was not a fan.
Overall, I thought this was a decent month by Ipsy! I was happy to see the tarte blush and definitely will be enjoying the Jonteblue lip liner. But I was not heavily impressed with this month’s selection. The overall value was around $45 which is not bad at all for $10 a month. While every month might not be a hit with you, I have certainly come across some of my all-time favorites through ipsy!
