Everything inside our box. Loving the Winter Wonderland theme already.
Our itinerary for the month! 🙂
The information booklet is very nicely put together with illustrations and descriptions. Making it fun for the kiddos.
Reading Time
We obviously started off by reading the book on polar bears and I can’t even tell you how excited my 3 and 2-year-olds were.
The vivid pictures were fun to look at and gave a very detailed look at polar bears. And of course, we learned so many interesting things about the bears from the arctic!
Arctic Snowflakes
Next, we hopped on creating our very own winter wonderland glittery snowflakes.
Hard at work putting the bead on.
While this looked more like a starfish to my little one, nonetheless, the kids had fun putting it together and it was a good hands-on activity that tested fine motor skills. 🙂
Winter Wonderland Watercolor Resist Art
Time to bring out your artistic skills! I drew out a creature that supposedly looked like a polar bear 😉 with a white crayon on the canvas.
And my 3-year-old painted and decorated it to her heart’s content. 🙂 Ready to go on our refrigerator soon enough.
Animal Yoga Cards
Oh my goodness, this was another really fun activity that got the kids moving and jumping around. Definitely helps since it’s been freezing outside and we have been cooped in.
Basically, the cards contain a picture of the arctic animal along with details about making moves or yoga/poses just like those animals in a fun way. I am sure we’ll be bringing out these cards quite a bit this winter. 🙂
Snack time!
This was all about creating a fun snack with sea salt popcorns and candy melts along with adding some peppermints in there. Again, easy enough for kids to do themselves and feel involved as well as enjoy the snack themselves.
Verdict
What an amazing month by Kids Night In Box. The Winter Wonderland theme educational, engaging and fun at the same time. There were quite a few hands-on activities and a whole lot of spontaneous fun. Can’t go wrong with Kids Night In if you want a wholesome learning experience for the kiddos! 🙂
