Time to review a product I have been using for the past 2 weeks! Just wanted to make sure I give it a solid try before giving out my opinion. 🙂 And I might have just squealed with delight on seeing my very own personalized jumbo bottle of Pixi Glow Tonic, thanks to Pixi Beauty! 😉
What is it?
The Pixi Glow Tonic is a highly concentrated facial toner that deeply cleans pores by sweeping away excess oil and impurities.
“• Exfoliates and purifies the skin with Glycolic Acid
• Ginseng improves circulation and energizes
• Aloe vera soothes and hydrates
• Refines the appearance of pores
• Gently accelerates cell renewal to reveal a brighter, glowing complexion
• Balances, heals and soothes for radiant, healthier looking skin
• Suitable for all skin types
• Not tested on animals”
Now the question is, does it do all of that? If I could scream off the rooftops, I totally would ha but this thing really works! And this is coming from someone who has probably tried them all.
A 250 mL bottle will cost you $29.00 which is not bad at all, considering it will easily last 3+ months since you only need a small amount to be able to see a difference.
This limited Holiday edition came with a pump – making it so much easier to use this humungous bottle!
As a 30-something-year-old, I have been making a conscious effort in following a skincare regimen and toning is definitely one step that I have grown to love. While I am all about cleansing and exfoliating, I totally believe it’s the toning that makes so much more of a difference.
Changes I have noticed in the past 2 weeks since I incorporated the Glow Tonic in my skincare routine:
- Brighter/radiant skin
- Pores shrunk in size
- Hydrated skin with no dry flakes to be seen! (this has been my #1 issue, so I was super happy to notice the disappearance)
- Much cleaner canvas to apply my nighttime or daytime moisturizer
In terms of ingredients, 5% glycolic acid paired with aloe vera and ginseng totally sets this toner apart from others!
Now, what does glycolic acid do?
Glycolic acid or AHA (Alpha-hydroxy-acid) is derived from sugar cane and has properties that naturally exfoliates the skin by removing dead skin cells and giving a much more radiant look. In terms of the other key ingredients, aloe vera provides hydration and nourishment while ginseng helps to soothe and energize the complexion.
I use about 2 pumps of The Pixi Glow Tonic on a cotton ball once daily, and that is more than enough to cover the entire face and neck area. When I first started using it, I would actually see dirt/impurities on the cotton ball and this was right after cleansing my face — eeks — and that’s when I knew what a magical product this is! The more consistently I have used, the cleaner my cotton ball has started to look – which is pretty good, but along with that I have noticed a glow to my face and I am more than happy to step out the house with no makeup at all! 🙂
Overall, to say that I have found my holy grail toner would be an understatement! I have been so pleasantly surprised with it, that I can’t wait to try out other Pixi skincare products. If you are looking for an exfoliating and hydrating toner, then definitely check out the Pixi Glow Tonic. I can totally see why this product has a cult status in the beauty and skincare world 🙂
