What’s inside
The glam bag this month had a coloring-book inspired look. And it came with 2 markers to really give us a chance to embrace our inner creativity ;).
Ipsy sends out quite a few variations of their bag, which I think is great, as it really keeps the surprise factor intact! These are the items I received in my glam bag.
This month’s theme was all about embracing your inner creativity and turning your world into a work of art. How fun! 🙂
Let’s check out the products I got closely! 🙂
GLOSSIER Balm Dotcom in Coconut (7 ml) – $5.60
I was very excited to see a Glossier product in my glam bag this month! Probably the highlight of the month for me other than one other product (which you’ll see below). This balm dotcom has achieved a cult-status in the beauty world and I was thrilled to get a chance to try it out before I jump into Glossier as a brand. 🙂 And I seriously can’t say enough good things about this multi-tasking magic balm! Not just for lips, but can be used for million other things in a pinch. Totally obsessed with the slight coconut fragrance and how hydrated it kept my lips!
WINKY LUX Powdered Lights in Charm (3g) – $18.00
This highlighting powder by Winky Lux has a cool pink holographic finish with just the right amount of shimmer.
The formula is micro-milled which seriously made it velvety-smooth in terms of texture! So pretty and natural!
EYEKO Lash Alert Mascara in Carbon Black (0.06 oz) – $6.00
Alright babes, this little Eyeko mascara was my second most favorite item from this glam bag! And let me tell you, I am not even a mascara-gal, since I feel other than faux lashes, nothing really helps me! But boy oh boy, one swipe of this and my lashes just bloomed into something that I have never seen them do with countless other mascaras I have tried!
I love the slightly bent look of the brush as it really helps in keeping that curled look of the lashes. Also, this mascara is literally like a cup of coffee for your eyes. It’s infused with caffeine to perk up your lashes with crazy volume and curl – no kidding. Oh and the formula contains biotin to improve the health of your lashes! So in love and already bought a full-size and then some more. 😉
CONTOUR COSMETICS Lip Kit Pencil in Juju (0.01 oz)
A lip pencil that is supposed to glide on easily, however, I thought it wasn’t as creamy as it should have been.
I do love the shade I received called Juju (peachy nude), but since I had a hard time trying to get a swatch of this on my hand, I can’t even imagine how hard it will be to line over your lips!
ANDALOU NATURALS 1000 Roses Body Lotion (1.7 oz) – $2.90
A rose-scented body lotion that contains rosehip, argan oils, shea and cocoa butter to give that nourishment to your skin. I am however not a fan of anything rose-scented in terms of fragrances, so I guess I’ll just be passing this up. I do love the natural ingredients!
And just as I sat down to enjoy some coloring, my older one jumped in and took over from mommy. ha. 😀 So much for creativity here. ha.
Verdict
An okay month by Ipsy for me! However, I have to give brownie points since I discovered two amazing products this month, even if the rest of the bag was a bit meh for me. The overall value was around $35 which is the lowest I have seen in recent months.
