This month’s theme was all about Spring-themed activities 🙂 Also, each activity comes packaged individually with its own set of instructions, making it a breeze to follow through!
The information sheet lists all our crafts for the month and helps keep track of what’s in the busy bag. Very handy dandy for sure!
Let’s check out all the fun we had. 🙂
Glitter Mosiac Spring Gnome
Our #1 go-to activity especially for my 2-year-old.
But both my girls love choosing the colors and working individually while coordinating with each other at the same time. 🙂
The younger one proudly showing off her finished work of art. I’ll admit, I am not a fan of all the glitter that falls out, but hey I would take 45 minutes of solid quietness any day over the glittery mess. 😉
Spring Bug Craft Stick Ornament
Another fun craft all about making a ladybug craft using the foam pieces and the craft sticks!
Again, the girls are certainly getting better at working in conjunction – the crafts are easily doable for the young ones without needing grownup helpers! And that’s why I am such a huge fan of DoodleBug crafts since they truly keep the kids “busy” on their own. 🙂
Our wonky little ladybug all ready to flutter away 😀
Mosaic Butterfly Sand Art
This was one of our absolute favorites from this month’s busy bag! We always look forward to these sand art kits, since they’re so fun and actually very neat (despite the mess you get from the sand).
I ended up making a quick preschool lesson of counting and learning your colors – which was thoroughly enjoyed by the kiddos.
My 4-year-old was a total pro at making her butterfly sand art! Loved how focused she was in regards to making sure that the individual colors stay in the glued section of the butterfly. Great for building those fine motor skills. 🙂
She was thrilled to see how gorgeous her little butterfly turned out!
Plush Spring Bird Lacing Craft
This lacing activity is always a staple in our DoodleBug Busy bags – it just keeps changing as per the theme of the month. So my kids always look forward to this one as well. 🙂
The 4-year-old has become a pro at lacing too now! 😀 And the little one jumped in by stuffing the roving to finish off our plush birdie!
Proudly showing off their teamwork. 🙂
DIY Flower Garden Sticker Scene
Another favorite here. We have stacks of reusable sticker scene booklets as my older one really enjoys making imaginative scenes with those.
Always fun to see what she comes up with as she makes sure to re-tell me what’s going in her picture. 🙂
Bonus Goodies: Stationery & Stickers
The stationery and stickers are always such a fun surprise and great as collectibles for any tiny stationery lovers! 😀
Another fun month of learning and staying busy without any screen-time! I am truly so grateful to DoodleBug Busy Bags for curating a box that sends out busy bags that are perfect for on-the-go as well as using as fun & educational indoor activities! You just can’t go wrong with this one at only $15.99 + free shipping.
