The glam bag this month was this pretty butterfly-covered pouch that you’ll wanna take everywhere you go. With a pink-hued backing.
Ipsy sends out quite a few variations of their bag, which I think is great, as it really keeps the surprise factor intact! These are the items I received in my glam bag.
This month’s theme was all about enjoying your surroundings and being a social butterfly! 🙂
Let’s check out the products I got closely! 🙂
Steve Laurant Blush in Rose All Day – $22.00
This baked blush by Steve Laurant is a creamy-powdery mixture that is buildable and quiet pigmented, actually!
I received the shade Rose All Day – a medium toned pink. It will give a very natural and just blushed look to the cheeks. Can’t say I am a fan yet as I do gravitate towards creamy products that have a bit of sheen to it. But as a powder blush, it definitely works great!
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Ibiza (0.27 fl oz) – $4.54
Ibiza was such a gorgeous shade! I am surprised that I have never tried this one before. I was instantly hooked and loved the soft matte texture.
Having quite a few NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams in my collection, I have got to admit, that I was very pleasantly surprised with this shade as it has become my new go-to favorite! It’s so perfect for a Spring/Summer look.
SAHI Cosmetics Cream Metallic Foil Eyeshadow in Doha (2g) – $22.00
My eyeshadow sadly came broken! But oh well. This cream metallic foil eyeshadow is all about creating that shimmery and shiny look.
Doha is a coppery gold shade that is highly pigmented and contains crushed pearls inspired by the city of Qatar’s skyline at sunset. Again, as pretty as it looks, it was a bit of a miss for me as I don’t do shimmery eye looks and tend to prefer more muted looks.
I was very excited to try this Hand cream since it contains a blend of shea butter, coconut oil, and aloe vera which help in keeping your hands well-moisturized your hands. But oh that scent – sadly, I could not detect much mintiness and it was mostly just a mish-mash of coconut and mint and for some reason, it just did not jive well with my sense of smell, which I am very sad about! 🙁
I love trying out leave-in conditioners and frizz-free hair products, so I am intrigued to try this one out. It smells like vanilla cupcakes, but I do prefer vanilla in my cupcakes only, ha, not in hair products. But it contains no sulfates, phosphates, or parabens —so it’s healthy and safe to use every day if you are not sensitive to fragrances!
As much as I loved the glam bag this month, sadly the contents were more of a miss for me! Barring the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream, I was not blown away by anything in particular. However, the total value was around $56.37 and that’s still pretty good compared to the monthly cost of only $10. I have definitely had more hits than misses with Ipsy Glam Bags, so I am willing to keep it since you do get full-sized products now and then. Oh, and you really can’t go wrong with the pretty glam bags adding into your collection each month! 😉 Check out my previous Ipsy reviews here. 🙂
