The instructions booklet as always lists everything in order to get you started with all the activities planned out for the kids.

Book Of The Month: A Busy Day At The Farm

This hilarious book was all about following the pigs, ducks, and the cows as they suffer through their impossibly busy schedules. From working out to having picnics, the animals were always up to something! Kind of like the busy toddlers I have at home. 😉

The illustrations were fun to look at and my 4 and 2-year-olds loved the clever and fun story within.

And it comes with stickers which is all my 4-year-old needs to survive apparently these days. 😉

ACTIVITY: Make Egg Carton Farm Animals

Next, it was time to have some fun and make some of the animals found in our book above. We had options to make a pig, cow, sheep and a duck.

Everything required to make our farm animals – love that you receive everything literally to make the fun crafts!

Following the instructions, we glued the 2 egg cartons together to make our farm characters. And off the kiddos went painting! I loved that the instruction booklet gave precise instructions as to how to make each farm animal, making it super easy to follow through. 🙂

Mr. Piggy is ready with his eyes, ears, mouth glued to him.

Applying cotton to our dried up blue painted-sheep character! Once I did this, my 2-year-old completely cottoned out the poor sheep. 😀

Our farm animals are all ready for some imaginative play. My older one fell completely in love with the cow and the piggy visors, so yep, they refused to come off.

ACTIVITY #2: Farm Animal Yoga

What I love about Kids Night In Boxes is that there’s always an activity that allows little ones to burn off the energy, which is great! This time, the kids were to practice some yoga.

As I read off the Farm Animal Yoga cards, the kids had a blast showing off their new poses as they pretended to be various farm animals. 🙂

Let’s just say, it was tons of laughter and fun mixed in right there. 😀

Create Your Sticker Farm & Snack Time!

Next, it was time to enjoy the included snacks (animal crackers and lemonade mix) along with creating our sticker farm. Using the stickers from our book (a busy day at the farm), my 4-year-old enjoyed creating her very own farm scene. This is actually one of her favorite things to do, so it was thoroughly enjoyed!

And of course, she wanted to participate in preparing the lemonade which I gladly agreed to as it really gets the kids to learn to do things on their own, either in the kitchen, or wherever else it may be. 🙂

Farm Animal Hoedown

Lastly, it was time to grab the included visors (which were already on my kiddos heads since they refused to take em’ off. ;)) and tune into the custom playlist for a good old fashion country hoedown. It was filled with popular nursery rhymes as well such as (Old McDonald, and One Potato etc). My 2-year-old is obsessed with Old McDonald, so yep that was kept on repeat for a while. 😉 But hey she danced and sang to the tune, so no complaints there. 🙂

Verdict

Another fun month by Kids Night In Box. I love how detailed the themes are each month with pretty much everything else revolving around that theme. So the kids get an educational and entertaining experience at the same time. Don’t miss out on this one!

Also, don’t forget to check out our last month’s review here, which was an instant favorite as well!
