What’s inside?
This month’s bag is a little different than most bags because there is not one dedicated theme for this one.
So for the next few months, DoodleBug Busy Bags are going to be all about encouraging kids and parents to spend quality time together since the crafts are going to require more parental help. π
Let’s check out all the crafting we got done this month. π
Aquarium Box Craft
A super cute and colorful aquarium box craft that my 4-year-old insisted on making herself. Everything was included in the craft kit, however, it was a bit more tricky to make the box.
I helped in building the box and the rest was put together by the kiddos. π The picture on the information sheet was a good reference when putting it together as it certainly helped!
Our box was sadly coming apart a bit so I just taped around it and thankfully it has been surviving just fine! The kids loved how colorful it looked once put together. π
Mom & Me Memory Book
The next craft was all about creating a memory book for “Mom & Me”. Everything required to finish our project was included.
We threaded the lace through the foam book to form the book shape and added in the pages as well.
Then it was just a matter of filling out the pages and decorating our little book. This was also my 4-year-old’s favorite activity. Give her markers/crayons and she will happily spend hours doodling away. π So naturally, we ended up spending quality mommy-daughter time while making a fun craft to show-off around. π
Plush Sea Life Lacing Craft
This one is usually a staple in our DoodleBug Busy bags and lacing activities are a favorite around here. I prefer these as well since they really help in developing fine motor and concentration skills. π
Magic Color Scratch Birdhouse & Ornaments
These magic color scratch cards are great for on-the-go and keep the kids busy when you need them to be occupied. π Always great to have a bunch of options that provide hours of screen-free fun!
Verdict
Although different than usual, we were very happy with our DoodleBug Busy Bag this month! The point of these busy bags is to keep the kids happily entertained while they spend quality time either with parents/grandparents and away from the screen. As a parent or mom-on-the-go, you can’t go wrong with DoodleBug Busy Bags. π
