We Craft Box is a monthly kids subscription that sends out 2-3 seasonal crafts for the whole family to enjoy! It is founded by Betsy Wild, a working mom of 2 boys. Art is her passion and therefore she decided to make it easier for parents by doing all the legwork and saving time by preparing, planning and shopping for all crafts!
Each box comes with all the materials needed to create 2-3 fun and entertaining crafts enabling parents to spend quality time with their kids!

What’s inside?
- 2-3 seasonal crafts with all the materials needed.
I personally love the packaging and logo of the We Craft Box – the hand of an adult and child together illustrating instantly what We Craft Box is all about! π
Everything inside our box for the month of June! Time to enjoy the great American outdoors with a camping crafts theme!
You get enough material and options to create at least 1 big craft project and 2-3 smaller ones. Basically, it’s all about unleashing the inner creativity of the kiddos ;). Also, you get enough items for at least 2 kids to be shared easily! π
As always, the instruction sheet introduces the contents of the box via an adorable poem or story pertaining to the theme of the month. Certainly sets the mood for the kids to embark on a crafty adventure :).
The information sheet is double-sided with step by step images of the projects that will be created. And that certainly makes it very easy to follow the instructions (that are equally detailed!).
Let’s check out how our crafts turned out with a 4 and a 2-year-old π
Craft Project # 1: The Camping Bears
We started out by creating our camping bears (namely; daddy bear and Becky bear as per the story).
Using the beans, pinecones and the head cutouts, we glued everything together (using glue dots also included) to create our little bears. π
What a great hands-on activity to hone in on those fine motor skills and build something super creative! π
Now the bears are just waiting for their campsite to be created (project #3).
Craft Project # 2: Campfire Ornament
Glue, colors, beans, can art really get any better than this for little ones? My kids couldn’t wait to unleash their creativity with this one! Especially my 2-year-old. π
Using oil pastels, the girls decorated their wooden ornament. The little one is spying on the older one to see what’s happening on the other side. ha π
Using elmer’s glue, they went on to gluing the beans on their freshly painted designs! π
Single-handedly completed by the 2-year-old! As you can see, she was uber proud of it just like this mama was. π
My 4-year-old’s wooden ornament was obviously more in line with what was expected, ha, but hey this activity was thoroughly enjoyed by both the girls. π
This was also the first time my girls were introduced to oil pastels so letβs just say, we are never going back to crayons! Thanks to We Craft Box to introducing us to this fun art medium. π
Craft Project # 3: Setting Up The Camp In The Great Outdoors!
Lastly, we headed to set up the camp area for the bears to enjoy! Using the green tissue paper, we cut out the trees and glued on our sparkly/navy paper. This was going to be the background in our project.
Drew out mountains and colored them away along with stars and the moon!
Added in the cotton balls as clouds for some “real” effects. π
Using the orange craft paper, we made it into a tent shape and decorated away (just like the instructions). The little one went a little too crazy adding the star stickers everywhere. I guess she was going for the starry nightΒ effect. π
How pretty does this look? We added in the wooden ornaments and the bears to complete the final look! I can guarantee you that this beautiful project is going to stay in the kids’ play area for a long time. The projects that we make with We Craft Box surprisingly always stand the test of time and tiny toddler hands;).
Verdict
What a fabulous month of camp-themed crafting by We Craft Box! I love the creativity that shines through in each project and it provides ample opportunity for me or my husband to spend quality time with the girls. And the end result is always a great project that is beautiful to display around the house.Β π Don’t miss out on this and get your first box for only $19.99 with a $5.00 off coupon code THISMAMA5.Β A perfect way to spend summer vacation!
