Everything inside our box. This month’s focus was on teaching little ones about the common bonds we all share as humans, no matter what place we belong to. Such an important concept, IMHO. 🙂
Common Bonds Information Booklet! 🙂 I am a huge fan of these extremely detailed instruction booklets that are exclusively designed by the Kids Night In team! Kudos to them for creating such colorful & creative informational booklets!
The first page lists some fun recipes pertaining to the theme of the month that you could try out with the kids. These are optional but good to have on hand if you’re following the theme for the month. 🙂
This month’s book was Whoever You Are by Mem Fox! Oh my goodness, this was such a great book. It was easy enough for my 4 and 3-year-olds to understand.
The colorful illustrations were fun to look at as they gave a deeper understanding of the fact that we are all the same despite looking different.
I loved the message of empathy so beautifully delivered. This has been one of our go-to books to read at bedtime for the past couple nights!
Snack of the month! This Bar Saves Lives Chocolate Chip Granola bars! Love that we received 2 so it was easily shareable between my 2 kiddos.
The younger one, Miss M, of course, couldn’t wait and had to have her snack while we read the book! Miss H (older one) is diligently trying to make sense of the story by looking at the illustrations. I always encourage my girls to tell me the story in their own words (because they are not at that age where they can read fully yet!), so it certainly helps in them recognizing certain words and them becoming proficient in storytelling! 🙂
Blowing air into the Globe ball.
Writing a letter to a pen pal for the first time! More like coloring and doodling. 😉 We also received an envelope to send it out to the Kids Night In Box team and they’d pair one child with another and have them be pen pals! Super cute and much needed in this day and age of screen time everywhere. 🙂
Another activity was to play the Around the World Game that came with 2 figures and color game cards. Miss H and I had a ball of a time playing the game. 🙂
This month we also received a small booklet that focused on the topic of Faith in an age-appropriate way.
Verdict
Another great box by Kids Night In. I personally loved the theme and the book of the month and thought it taught important lessons in a beautiful way. I do wish there were more activities in terms of arts and crafts. Nonetheless, we were so happy to have come across such a great book! If you do choose to subscribe, don’t forget to get a FREE box with coupon code ONEFREE with any 3, 6 or 12-month membership!
