Raising kids is exhausting, fun yet so rewarding. And I’ll be the the first one to admit that I have my days where I am winning at parenting and then there are days where I am barely surviving. I guess, at the end of the day, it’s all about finding that balance? 😉
But have you ever wondered that just maybe it does not have to be so complicated, all it requires is a bit of ingenuity and a handful of parenting hacks to make life easier! Which is why I am going to be sharing one of my scary simple parenting hacks with you guys!
My Scary Simple Parenting Hack!
Have you ever walked into a room and stepped on a toy? I promise you that it has happened way too many times to me than I’d like to admit. And so I figured, it was time to tackle my toy clutter problem strategically! And so as a mommy on a mission, I set up a toy rotation every 3 weeks. Toy rotation basically means taking a good portion of the toys around the house and putting them away from prying little eyes and hands for a limited duration (2 – 3 weeks or longer!). And only leaving a few toy bins (filled with a variety of toys) in their sight so they actually get to play with those rather than have a toy overload in front of them. It’s as simple as that.
And let me tell you – this scary simple parenting hack worked! Not only was I left with very little clutter, but also the kids got a chance to play with their “newly discovered” toys/activities for hours pretty much every day the entire 3 weeks until we switched to another set of toys that were not in sight.
Also, we all know that playtime and snack time go hand in hand! And snacks that keep them going for hours are my personal favorite! Such as our new favorites by RXBAR: RX Kids Protein Snack Bars!
These are not only mom-approved but a kid-favorite as well! RX Kids recently launched 4 new flavors: Chocolate Chip, Strawberry, Double Chocolate and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip! And not only do these brand new flavors taste amazing, but they are also made with scary simple ingredients! No artificial flavors and made with whole grain oats. The kind of protein snack bars that I’d gladly give to these kiddos or more like they’d gobble up in a jiffy! 🙂
So while I have been enjoying a relatively “clutter-free” house, the kids have been enjoying their toys & crafts a whole lot more along with the delicious RX Kids Protein Snack Bars.
And at the end of the day, I may be exhausted from my parenting duties, but one day, I know that the toy clutter phase will be a distant memory and I may have a clutter-free house. But till then, I am going to bring out all the parenting hacks & strategically enjoy the cluttered life. Be sure to pick up RX Kids for you and your littles at Target, Walmart or rxbar.com!
